A clear handover
Review what you share.
- Name the bike and add its make/model. Serial number is optional.
- Add dated work records. Use the public description for information you intend to share.
- Keep personal details in the separate private-note fields. They never enter a handover.
- Select optional handover fields, preview the result, then print or download text.
- Save explicitly and download a full backup for safekeeping.
Two different exports
Handover: selected bike and public work descriptions, plus optional fields you enable. Private notes are excluded. Full backup: every bike, every record, every plan and all private notes. Do not send a full backup when you mean to share a handover.
Review public text
The tool does not automatically recognize personal information inside public descriptions or model names. Check the preview. Switching bikes or restoring a backup resets optional export fields to off.
Odometer and cost
Odometer values refer to the bike at that time, not a component's lifetime. Changing km/mi converts stored readings and rounds them to two decimals. Costs are optional USD amounts for individual records; there is no invoice or accounting aggregation.
What the record establishes
Entries are user-supplied. They do not independently prove ownership, work performed, receipt authenticity or bicycle condition. Keep original documents separately until attachment support is built.
Saving
Save is explicit. Closing without saving can lose edits. Local browser data can be cleared; full backups preserve your records. Limit: ten bikes, 500 service records, 50 plans and a 20 MB import file. Read the separate calendar export guide.
