Know what the record contains
Review the costs you have actually entered.
A chain replacement might have a price; a quick inspection might have none recorded. ServiceSpoke’s cost review separates those cases. It totals entered USD amounts for the selected bike and dates, with distinct counts for missing costs and explicit zero costs.
Review a bike’s recorded costsMissing is different from zero
Enter 0 when you mean a recorded zero cost. Leave the field blank when the cost is unknown or not yet entered. Both remain visible in the review. A total based on two priced records and three missing costs is only the sum of the two known amounts.
Choose the bike and dates
Select the bike, set a start and end date, and refresh the review. Both dates are included. Other bikes and records outside the range stay out. Changing the bike, records or date range clears the old review before you can download it.
See months and component labels
The monthly table puts costs under each service record’s date. The component table groups labels after ignoring letter case and extra spaces. A label such as “chain” can refer to more than one physical part over time; the table does not identify component lifetime or establish wear.
A narrow, reviewed text export
The downloadable summary includes the date range, entered amounts, counts and month/component totals. Bike nickname inclusion starts off. Serial numbers, shop attribution, descriptions, private notes, odometer readings, original filenames and files are excluded. Review component labels too: they contain whatever you entered.
What is not included in the total?
Planned service dates do not create costs. Attached receipts are not read or added automatically. Missing work, purchase price, taxes not entered, depreciation and other ownership expenses are not inferred. Amounts use the existing USD cost field; this tool does not convert currencies or verify invoices.
Keep the evidence alongside the record
Use receipt and photo attachments to retain originals where useful. The cost review leaves every record and original file unchanged. Save explicitly after editing the source record, and keep a full private ZIP backup when you need the files as well as the text.
