A more useful service notebook

Find the history of a component.

A dated log is easier to review when the same component uses a consistent label. ServiceSpoke groups labels after ignoring letter case and repeated spaces, then shows their entries from oldest to newest.

Keep labels consistent

Use a specific label such as Rear brake or Chain. Chain and drivetrain remains a separate group from Chain: the app does not guess that differently named records describe the same thing. A filter searches labels on the selected bike only.

Record replacement explicitly

Add an Installed entry with a clear public description when a part is replaced. The label group can contain several different chains over time. A latest entry does not prove what is currently fitted, and same-date records have no verified time ordering.

Keep distance in context

The bike odometer is a reading for the whole bicycle. It is not automatically a component’s lifetime distance. This history view does not infer wear, remaining life or a service interval.

Review before handing over

The component view contains dates, actions and public descriptions. Private notes, serial numbers, costs and attribution do not appear. The printable handover remains a separate preview with optional fields you control.
