The iOS app is currently an unsigned development build, not an App Store download. The free web tool is available now.

Save and back up

Save a bike or service record explicitly in its editor. Changes to plans save when you choose Save. Use Export full private backup to keep a copy outside the app. Backups contain all bikes, records, plans and private notes; store them somewhere you control.

Move between web and iOS

Use a current app or web tool to restore version 2 backups. Version 1 backups migrate when imported; older versions may reject version 2. There is no automatic sync. Restore replaces the active notebook only after you review and confirm. Export a backup first if you need to keep both collections.

Share a bike's history

Choose Handover, select the optional public fields, review the preview and share its text. Private-note fields and service plans are excluded. The app cannot detect personal information in public descriptions, so read the preview yourself. A full private backup is a different export.

Plans are separate from work performed

Plans use dates you choose. Marking one done does not invent a service record or establish that maintenance was performed. Record completed work separately. Calendar export is currently available in the web tool.

Recover or remove data

If a notebook cannot be read, the app preserves it and pauses saving. Restore a known-good backup; a recovery copy of the unreadable file is kept locally. Deleting the app removes its local notebook; offloading retains data. Device backups and exported, printed or shared copies need separate management. See the native privacy policy.

Email mark@awesound.com. Include the app version shown under About, privacy and support, your iOS version and steps to reproduce the problem. Do not attach a full backup, serial number or private notes unless you deliberately choose to share them. No message is sent automatically.
